desk. The recreation center is open 7 days a week, Mon through Fri 5 AM -
10 PM; Sat 7 AM - 10 PM; Sun 10 AM - 6 PM and closed certain holidays. Call

This 10K walk is
rated 2 and is suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. The trail begins at
the Madsen Recreational Center and wanders through nearby neighborhoods, through
Round Rock Memorial Park, along the old Chisholm Trail and to the site of the
famous round rock for which the town is named.
Directions: From the north and south on IH-35, take Exit
251. From the north, turn left at the light at Hester's Crossing/I-35 Business
Loop. After crossing the highway, I-35 BL is named S Mays St. From
the south, turn right at the light onto S Mays St/I-35 BL. Follow S Mays
as it curves to the left; continue on S Mays to the second traffic
light. Turn right on Gattis School Road and go approximately 1 mile.
The recreation center will be on your left.
